Golf as we know it today is great fun. Interestingly much has changed from back in the days of hickories and from the classic era of persimmon and blades up until around 1990. Golf as it was during this period was very successful in making the game popular and in growing it to a wider audience. Golf was a great sport for a lot of reasons that contributed to it's success. And in retrospect, some of the things that have changed and some things lost may not have been for the better. I am convinced that we can enjoy golf even more today by reviving some aspects from the past. I hope to meet you and inspire you further to discover more of the heritage and history of the game and enjoy experienceing and playing it as it used to be played.
